So very touching! I can relate exactly. Even now, with both boys in their 40’s, i still long for time with them, even if it has to be precipitated by some minor calamity that would forestall the inevitable separation. Now I feel the same way about little Archer, our grandson. The circle of life, of love continues!

Best to you, Cat! Keep up the good writing!

Thanks, Bill! It’s so great when they are adults and you still experience that bond. I look forward to being a grandma some day.💓💓

I k ow this feeling so well. And now mine is 1400 miles away. A little voice on the phone. A face on the screen.

Oh jeez, this made me tear up, so relatable. It is both a huge joy and a little teeny bit of mom loss each accomplishment my daughters make that lead them to become better adults than I ever imagined them to become . It’s been a hard journey at times to become less mom and more friend but it has been a gratifying one and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
